The Mystery of the Left Lane

So, I have been on the road a lot, used car insurance prices drive an 18 wheeler for a living, a Peterbilt I might say. In my truck driving days, we are going back about 19 years, I have dealt with a lot of traffic. It was reasonable Snevysjdrnzkqn that time and people had respect for the other road user, well most of them did. That respect made it a whole lot easier to go to work every day. Work that mostly was 15 to 20 hours long. The majority was driving but a lot of time was spent loading and unloading in various weather conditions. In the summer time us truck drivers had to deal with vacationing tourists and in the winter time it was snow and ice. Quite challenging. Never had one accident and never cause one either. Did up a bunch of experience in regards to weather conditions and driving habits and most important courtesy and comradery. I always say every car driver should go drive an 18 wheeler for a year, it will teach them common sense.

After about a million and a half miles and 7 years I said bye-bey to the road (long haul) and started driving locally so i
could be home with the wife and kids. Over the years I realized people were getting shorter nerves and bigger tempers when it
came to driving; not a good combination so I said bye-bye to the city driving after 6 years and traded my air ride seat for
an office chair with the same company.

Well, that was really hard to Gourmet Kitchen used to; no fresh air, no frozen fingers, no open road and less freedom, but I did get a
handle on it. By the way, never been a day sick in my life untill I started working in an office. Oh, most important thing
was that I quitt smoking, a very wise decision. But now we are getting of subject, this is about drivers and their sillyways.

Still doing lots of miles, 30 each way back and forth to the office. This is when I noticed the change in driving habits and
the apparent inexperience of most drivers. And I must admit it really bothers me.
What I see drivers do on the road is unbelievable and I really do not know how they ever got their license.
The very first change that has to be made is making driving lessons by driving schools mandatory.
The second change is to make the minimum driving age 18 years old. Now I know I am hitting a sore bone here, but really there is no other way to get some sense in people and to save lives.

I will do a little test for you drivers here. A common sense reality check if you'd like. Think what you would do in the
situation mentioned and answer the question honestly.

A. You are driving in the city on a 4 lane (2 each way) street at 10pm and coming up to a red light at an intersection. The
traffic is light. Which lane are you in when you come to a stop?

B. Same situation as above but now at 7 am. Which lane are you in when you come to a stop?

C. You are driving on a four lane road, which lane are you in?

D. You are driving on another four lane road, heading out of town. 5 miles ahead of you the four lane goes into a 2 lane.
What lane are you in now? (still 5 miles to go).

E. You are approaching the on ramp to the interstate, traffic is normal, and the on ramp is a mile long. Where did you join
the interstate traffic?

F: After you joined the traffic in question (E), which lane did you go into right away?

G. You are driving on the interstate (3 lanes 1 way) and your exit is coming up a 1/4 mile ahead of you. How many lanes do
you cross to get to the exit.

H. You are coming up to a red light, could be anywhere,
there is 2 lanes and the left lane has 6 cars stopped and the right lane none. Which lane do you stop in?

I. You are driving on a 2 lane road which goes into 4 lanes. Which lane do you change into?

J. You are coming home from work and park your car. You do not have a garage, but have a driveway. Where do you park your
car?

You have read the 10 questions and you probably gave all the answers. The answers you gave on paper might be different then

Why would you choose a lane with 6 cars in it over one that has none? Why use 1/4 of the onramp when you can use the whole
lenght and join with the same speed? Why stay in the left lane when there is still 5 miles in the right? Why do you have to
cut over 1 or 2 lanes to make your exit? Why not change into the right lane when it is there and empty? Why do you park in
your driveway and not in your neighbours when you do everything else opposite?

Why does this bother me so much. Hey I have the right lane all to my self, but it just puzzles me how people just do whatever
the other does and not even think for themselves, or even worse do not even notice what is going on around them. It bothers me because these "left laners" promote roadrage!

So see, I would not want to be a professional driver anymore in todays zoo. Which brings me to my second last question: Why
do you DO go in the right lane just in front of a tractor trailer trying to stop for a light. Why? Stupidity
comes to mind here.

My last question before closing is: Why do you stay behind 10 cars in the LEFT lane on the freeway when the right lane is
empty but do try to go around a tractor trailer in the LEFT lane who actually is passing somebody?

Please people, do think about these questions and answers, it might just save a live or two.

Assuming I am still sane, and was sane at the time Surf music took place, I shall try to explain to you, what had taken place, which has not befallen any man to zombies knowledge in quite the same way, ever. I have no evidence left, but my experience, yes, that alone, and those who took care of me of course during this trying time.

It took place while I was digging, that is, in the process of digging I should say, in Ica, a location in Southern Peru, known for its past witches. Something I did not hold as dependably true, only that legend marks it so. I felt something was hidden underground in a certain location I was excavating, perhaps some treasure, antiques, gold, as in tombs found in Sipan, Northern Peru, this was my premonition anyhow, at the time. Ica, as I have already said, is in the south of Peru, and this certain area had not yet been excavated, actually much of Peru has not been excavated, and it is truly the Egypt of South America.

Anyhow, I am writing this after the fact, this abyss, or hole in the ground, I discovered turned into a cave like environment once within its parlor (I have ventured back a few months ago to see the full interior of it, it is massive, a maze); it has a chill to its walls, and bats circulating near its dome. It was mid summer of 2005, when I first started digging at this very location, when I discovered what I discovered, which I am only now writing about, and now in the Mantaro Valley of Peru, surrounded by the Andes. No one has believed this story, friends and all, family, but two people, Professor Adelmo Mani, from Los Andes University, and my Peruvian wife. Ah, yes, they have been faithful to the core. The press (whom I have tried to talk to) thinks this to be just another factious supernatural story of abnormal psychology I made up. But contrary to their belief, it is far from paranormal psychology, or supernatural fiction, yet I am not sure how to label it.

I am thankful to the good professor for his acknowledgment; it saves me from being off balance, a nice term, instead of insane. I have always tested out to be rational, and there are no family traits of mental imbalance, yet I told the professor as I told the press, and my wife, and the doctor, I told them all of my confusion, my findings, experience, lest they read about it, as they say, in a fictional magazine somewhere done the road. Yes, I get confused like everyone else in the world, when strange phenomenas happen, especially to ones self.

At this point, I do not care what people do with the account Ive told, for Ive told it a hundred times since, and to tell them again, would be simply a loss of breath, so I shall write it out vaguely, for the curious reader, and stamp this case closed, for Ive survived it. My name is Lee Wright, my writers name, one I use often, or have used, and for those who remember the news a few years back, several years that is, in the Viru Valley of Peru (1999) to be exact, when I first came to Peru, for this is my ninth time, today being the 8th of March, 2007, artifacts were found (I have one), of soldiers 1050 BC to 600 AD, they were used in rituals, stone artifacts, depicting soldiers, and witches, and devils. Thus, it would seem to me, some kind of devil worship was taking place in the valley, so that was where I got my inspiration to follow it through, and all roads led to Ica, where this worship originated and migrated from. There was a lot of change in the Viru Valley throughout the past two-thousand years, and throughout Northern Peru per se, the Coastal areas likewise, as well as the mountainous areas (cultures came and mixed, if not died out completely, and renewed with new ones), and all the way down south to Ica, where I traced the madness of the antidpressant worship, where legend has it, witches live. How I ended up at this one particular site, is perhaps involves more luck and chance, or bad luck, than providence.

Once I created a hole which lead to the abyss, for I had punctured the earths surface several feet deep, which widened the rim of the hole to several feet in diameter, a stink came out and something with it, and that is when I got my so called madness, where the horror took place, she lurched out of the abyss (let me say, again, for all, there is no pattern of psychological illness in my family tree) but she, the shadow in the abyss leaped up and out and on me, deep within my intestines I felt her, like a bloodsucker, or mosquito sucking all the blood out of me

I call her the Ica Witch, witch or not. Here was some ancient being, perhaps two thousand years old, bathing inside me like cancer. This shape seemed to cause my internal system to collapse, as now she was out of her dungeon, and seemingly found a new home, me.

I thought there was to be an archeological find here, that was all, not a witch or its shadow, or its rotting soul, I fell flat on my back, speechless, my thoughts and mind amiss, almost unconscious, and perhaps was, I somewhat forgot, my mind muddled. My wife finding me, semi conscious, she took me back to the Hotel, and then to Lima, where we have a home, and then on to Huancayo, in the Mantaro Valley, that is where Adelmo comes in, Professor Adelmo Mani that is, and my faithful wife Rosa.

As I was saying, my wife found me in quite an unbecoming way, and took me back to Huancayo, where I saw a doctor, and talked to the press, and so for and on. Adelmo visiting me daily, and him and my wife waiting for my senses to come back to me; I do think they both had their doubtful moments on this witch issue, but my behavior was not normal. My speech was unclear, so they told me, along with other peculiarities I shall try to describe. They said my eyes gazed strangely at everything, around me, as if I was seeing it for the first time. I was also told I walked clumsily wherever I went, for several weeks these abnormal traits of mine, continued. It was as if I was relearning how to walk, talk and have conversations. I was seemingly curious of normal everyday things. Things I knew, or should have known.

The Collapse

At this point, the collapse had taken placed fully inside of me, that is to say, inside of me I now vaguely can remember, but I lived mainly in my mind, lived in a fog, where a voice similar to mine spoke, gave me facial expressions I didnt want to make. Much detail came into my mind, constantly, until I could glance at her past as if looking into a mirror readily, at any moment. This is when she left me, vanished, perhaps into someone else, surely not back to Ica, she left because all I ever did was report her ugly existence back to her, she had limits also, things she could not endure, like all of us I suppose.

The only tangible proof I have, is by those who came to see me during those days when I was not me; so I presume that will have to do, if one seeks additional proof of this account, that is.

Is the Recession Monster Rearing Its Head?

Today I saw two CNN anchors talking about recession. They were really getting Soonaspossible the nitty-gritty of semantics and word origin. Evidently, it's very important to CNN anchors to know when they can and cannot refer to the economy as being in a recession.

Here is a by-the-numbers explanation of how this all came to pass:

Through most of the 1990's, many lending institutions I Love Lucy to offer home loans to people who had no business taking on home loans. They had low credit scores and financial "houses" with shaky foundations.
To maximize profits, the lenders cranked up the interest rates for these bad credit mortgage shoppers, like they still do today.
Many lenders, such as Ameriquest, began to focus on this kind of subprime lending (as it became known) almost exclusively.
Some economists began to warn that these "easy lending" practices would have grave repercussions down the road, so...
Some politicians began to raise an eyebrow at these subprime lending practices, but...
Lending industry lobbyists contributed to political campaigns so the politicians would have an easier time turning a blind eye. (According to public records, Schwarzenegger got a nice chunk from Ameriquest, and so did George W.).
Because many of the subprime loans were adjustable rate mortgages with low initial rates, they inevitably reset to much higher interest rates.
Thousands upon thousands of subprime borrowers could not afford their increased payments, so...
We had more home foreclosures in a single year than any other year since structured settlement consumer info been tracking these things.
A lot of the same politicians who previously turned a blind eye realized that the media was covering them more closely now. So they began to step up and say, "Ooooh, these evil mortgage lenders make me so angry. We must regulate them."
Long story short, it's a lot harder to get a mortgage these days ... and many of the subprime lenders are facing extinction.
The mortgage meltdown extended to the business world as a whole, which is why business credit is tightening as well as consumer credit.
And now, CNN anchors are arguing over the definition of the word "recession."
Oh, and it certainly doesn't auto insurance rate quote that we are spending 25 gazillion dollars a year in Iraq.

* Update: Ameriquest recently posted a message on their Robotrench that says they are no longer accepting loan applications. Go figure.

So there you have it ... my take on how we got to where we are, from a mortgage lending standpoint. Of course, one person's loss is another's gain. For example, real estate investors who focus on buying foreclosure homes benefit greatly because there are so many of these properties available now.

The type of eye care used is dependent on the work being done. I Have Discovered That Keeping Track of My Hours Shouldn't Require Hours of My Time

In your business do you Generic Drugs Fine Wine keep track of billable hours for your clients? Do you find it absolutely annoying to constantly keep track of thirty different timesheets in Excel?

I just have to share with you this new tool a fellow VA shared with me . Its called MyHours and it simply is the greatest software to track your billable hours. I signed up for a free MyHours account (which they state will be going to a paid system at some point Im kind of keeping my fingers crossed that theyll forget about that little note theyve made on Elephant Man website) and I started using it immediately.

Once you sign up, the first place you need to go to is the Projects tab so you can set up your clients and the various projects you may do for each client. The next place you should go is the Tasks tab and set up a few of the regular tasks that you do. For myself, I used this area to put in things like Transcription, Web Maintenance and Administrative Support.

Once you have those two areas filled out, you can begin using MyHours (I told you it was easy!) in one of two ways regular daily view entry or entry through the MHlite interface. The difference is that the regular daily view entry uses up the whole screen and you have to manually put in your start and stop times. With MHlite, it works much like a punch clock. You hit Start Work to begin and Finish Work to end and it calculates the time youve home owners insurance on that project / task.

One thing I want to note is that whether you are using the daily view or the lite version, there is one row in the data entry that says Notes. I would highly recommend using these and getting into the habit of putting data in there from the time you start. I add a more detailed note so that my client knows exactly what it was I worked on. It also allows me to look back and see precisely where my time was spent.

The reporting function of MyHours is also excellent. You can pull reports that are sorted by client, by project or by task. It automatically adds up the hours spent in each area which makes invoicing your clients a breeze!

I also think it is neat to use the software to track how much time I am spending on the various areas of my own business. Writing e-zine submissions or blog entries for example. You can see how much of your time is spent ON your business instead of IN your business.

Regardless of your own primary use of this software program, we give it two giant thumbs up. The ease of set up and use is extraordinary and I love that you can access it from anywhere. Enjoy!
